80+ Years of Italian Innovation in Finishing Technology

Founded in 1941 by Ettore Pontiggia in Bergamo, Italy, Neolt began as a manufacturer of sliding rulers and drafting equipment. Over the decades, the company evolved into a global leader in finishing systems for the printing and visual communication industries.

Neolt was founded by Ettore Pontiggia in Bergamo, Italy in 1941

In the 1950s, Neolt expanded into a new production facility, investing heavily in R&D. The 1960s saw diversification into stencil printers, heliographic machines, and office furniture, exporting to over 70 countries. The 1970s marked a turning point with the launch of Neolt’s first rotary blade cutter, followed by vertical cutters and electric models in the 1980s.

The 1990s introduced folding machines and updated vertical panel cutters, while the 2000s brought Neolt into the digital age with the NEOLTJET and Asterjet printing systems, alongside the Neoweld welding machine and the first XY Matic cutter.

In 2015 NEOLT separated from its printing section and became Neolt factory srl

In 2015, Neolt underwent a strategic reorganization, becoming Neolt Factory SRL and focusing exclusively on finishing systems. This transition included a new headquarters and the debut of the XY Matic Trim Plus. By 2021, Neolt celebrated 80 years of innovation, investing in advanced mechanical production with a new laser cutter to boost quality and capacity.

In 2024, Neolt launched the XY DTF automatic cutter and developed a jumbo-to-cut unwinder system integrated with the Canon Colorado UVgel printer, reinforcing its leadership in automated finishing.
